Nice shot Jimmy, I loved Pileated wp's! If, by chance, you find yourself a little unhappy with the lens wide open, maybe try it at f/8. My Sigma 150-600mm is night and day better at f/8 than it is wide open, especially at 600mm. Not sure if the 2 lenses are similar in that respect or not, but thought I'd mention it. Mark

SYS Cream of the Crop More info Post edited over 1 year ago by SYS. | Mar 11, 2022 16:17 | #11095 medmonds wrote in post #19354091 so Cool!!! amazing composition. that would have been tricky to pull off Thank you. The trickiest part is achieving a decently sharp focus. The water droplet has to be the right size and it has to be approached (focusing) from the right angle. The composition of the bird is simply a matter of the positioning the background in relation to the water droplet. Here's one more, this time with a bit more extended depth of field to bring out a threatening background. Image hosted by forum (1148734) © SYS [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. So far I am impressed with the capabilities, but lots to learn and much practice needed as well.
