Great shot! Thank you, Paul. I'm always very happy when I can get them both in focus. Very nicely photographed, Pippan! A new one for me today. Nice capture, fotoi...oops, I mean Terry! kd_reno wrote in post #19357111 Spent a few minutes watching this Cactus Wren building a nest in this Spanish Dagger. ![]() Lovely shot of this beauty, Ken. Tom, from Arizona has posted a number of them, but as I remember, they were more of a brown color rather than white, like your shot. This really is a pretty looking bird. Thanks a million Manny! I really appreciate you very thoughtful compliment. Tom Reichner wrote in post #19356909 . It's so difficult to get a drake and a hen, both in pleasing positions relative to one another, and in the same plane of focus. Slo much must come together in order to get the shot ..... and you nailed it! . Very nicely done. . Tom...what great compliment. I really appreciate your explanation, as far as what it takes to get pairs of birds to come together just right. Only very rarely do I get a shot like this to work out the way I want. I really do enjoy the challenge, even though the keeper rate is miserably low for me. amyandmark3 wrote in post #19356944 Nice shot, good job getting them both in focus like that! I always struggle getting more than 1 in focus. Thank you very much, Mark! Like you, I struggle trying to get both birds in focus. Only rarely does it work out well for me. It's quite a thrill when it does. LD, or Mike

My shot is showing mostly the streaked white breast. They're darker on the back, with Buffy flanks. This shot shows the color pattern better, but I didn't like the relative position of that spike.
