another hummingbird from the other day. the sun gets too high, too fast these days. i'm usually on site at sunrise but shutting it down by 9 am.

Thank you, Richard. Here's hoping! Perusing the eBird reports, it looks as though I'll have some nice species to photograph, and a good amount of the fun is getting out and exploring a new place. Doubly interesting, since I'll be near the place I grew up, seeing all the stuff I was totally oblivious to during my wayward youth

Beautiful shot of a beautiful bird, Bill! Are PBs rather common down there, or are they hard to come by?

There was a rare visit from a PB this past fall up here in Maryland that grabbed all the headlines. I should have gone down and just laid eyes on it, just to say that I have seen one, but it just so happened that we had just had our second daughter, and I was a little out of it at the time
