Thank you Mike -- I've only seen the waxwings a couple of times this spring/early summer and I am looking forward to more opportunities.

Business has been good at the bath lately. There were two doves in here at first, but one had left by the time I had the camera.

Well I FINALLY got amongst the feast of normally rare (and endangered) Gouldian Finches that have been attracting birdos from far and wide to Lee Point, near Darwin, during their late afternoon feeding frenzy. Very, very satisfying.

Sadly, no, criminally, the area they are in is earmarked for imminent destruction to satisfy the greed of housing developers. The bull-dozers and jack-hammers are less than 100 metres from these feeding grounds and getting closer.

Beautiful bird. Nice capture!

Very attractive shot of this little gal, Richard! Like all your shots, she is tack sharp.

Lame-Duck wrote in post #19389017 (external link)
This shot really is an eye grabber, Richard! It's very sharp plus the eye contact is great. I'm sure he appreciates the cockatoos.;-)a

Thank you Mike. Your appreciation and comments are much appreciated

Dave that's a beauty. Lovely to see and very well done.

Lemon-bellied Flycatchers are SO cute!

Pippan that's a lovely bird and beautiful composition.
There's something about the yellows in our Aussie birds. Probably just more of the green and gold of our landscape.

Gilded Flicker showing off its gilding (decorative gold).

Wow. That really shows the magnificence of this bird and explains its naming.
I've never seen similar before.
Really highlights the detail when feathers are spread like this.
Very nicely captured Mike

Richard, your thoughtful, encouraging compliment is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. I never considered the idea of a wood duck having poise before. I'll have to give that some thoughtful consideration. :-P

Exceptionally nice capture of this beautiful little northern parula, Steve! Very sharp and nicely separated from the background.

Thank you, Mike, for those kind comments!
