There's some cracking pubs in London, but a shame about the prices!

Have to agree John. Not too far from Dubai pint prices.
Thanks for posting the link.

The Earl Grey. Northfleet. Kent. UK.
Couldn't find a lot of history on this pub except that it was a former 18th century coaching inn. The Earl Grey has been a popular watering hole on Northfleet’s Vale Road for more than 250 years. It’s a traditional local that oozes warmth and comfort.

Who was Earl Grey? Take a look at the Wiki links:-

certainly a building of great character Ray
Interesting construction.

Often wondered where the Tea name came from.

History abounds. At least that statue has a chance of remaining intact by the reading of him.

I shouldn't think they'd do much business if they relied on that tea brand for their sales - it's awful!

The Earl Grey history certainly abounds - and from reading the Wiki he seems safe for the time being - but times change and the entitled sometimes fall from grace (or their pedestal), and maybe some should never have had titles bestowed on them in the first place - Eh?-?

Heard that some time back. Very well done, still makes me laugh.
It's got to be better than shearers tea though. That stuff you can stand the spoon in and not fall over, and it lines the cup with a black stain impossible to remove

I blame Pippan for this - I am sensitive you know - and I am now going to bed and I hope that problematic tennis bloke beats you Ozzie lot. So there!:-) :p

Makes 2 of us I guess, John. I’m more of a coffee person now and occasionally when I do drink tea has to be Builders tea and for me nothing beats Sri Lankan tea leaves.
