Same image and original data but with an additional 10x 300seconds of Ha data added.

Nice, The first pic seems have more detail in the core .. I have never added a specific wavelength before and have no idea if this is normal.

Well they are both excellent and beautiful captures in their own right, but I have to learn towards the first one as my favorite. More saturated and second seems burned out and less detail, at least on my iPad mini. :)

Nice location for imaging!

I too am just starting to learn how to do LHaRGB processing.

I agree too. I'm sure someone with more processing experience could have made the second image look better with the additional Ha data. I'm not a fan of blowing out the core of the Lagoon Nebula but I couldn't figure out how to get it under control.

Re-processed again. This time I eliminated the Lum data and just stacked the RGB Ha data with the Ha data replacing Luminance.
I think the Lagoon looks better now with less of the core being blown out and also more of a red hue as opposed to the original purple-ish color in my first go.

And just for grins, here's a starless version.

Aaaah, Really like your last version (one with stars :) )

Strange, but I really didn’t notice the color so much being off on M8, until you corrected it. The brain sometimes amazes me how it can work “or not “. lol

Very nice!
