Thanks Tom! I've driven by here several times and either I couldn't stop, or there were shadows on it from nearly trees. Late afternoon turned out to be the best time to shoot it and the Pixel5 did it very well.

We had been on a 20 mile ATV ride and not long after reaching home a bad thunderstorm came through, lightning was bad as it gets, not being fond of lightning I enjoyed being indoors until the worst had passed by . . . After this storm passed the alerts are saying it continues to get much worse as it travels South East.

Oof! There are new reasons all the time to say "Stay safe."

Thank you joayne. I think the late afternoon light really made the colors pop.

By the way, I'm attaching a shot below that shows my 'good' camera and lens on the tripod, just to give some context to show what it was like to photograph in that place with the 'real' gear.

I absolutely love it there with the remaining snow, but I am afraid that with the warm temps and breeze today, all of that wonderful snow will be gone by tomorrow morning, and I will have to wait another year before I can shoot there again in the conditions that I prefer.

It's such a beautiful location. What is your main subject that you are trying to photograph?

On the flowers theme - from the far eastern side of the continent, visited a greenhouse / farm this past week - basic snapshots unprocessed. (Did straighten first one; just couldn't not.)

Figured I'd better check my cellphone too. Father's Day breakfast yesterday. Do love a Benedict.

While over in Vancouver doing some shooting I found myself here.
A haunting memorial to the short lives of 215 First Nations
children whose unmarked graves were recently found on the
grounds of what used to be a "residential school"
They were found using ground penetrating radar.
215 pairs of children's shoes.

Such a moving tribute. I got to know several survivors over many visits northwest. (Wish there was an alternative to "Like" for photos here.)

Since I don't have a point and shoot camera, I just had to point and shoot my canon. Up close and personal here of the firebox from an old Steam Donkey.
