Thanks Jake. I have been looking for a sturdy tripod and this was too good to pass up.

I ended up caving and got the Series 4 in the original link.

Now I need to seriously consider my tripod collection and SELL some stuff!

The legs are very good. They obviously haven't been put to the long term tests my Gitzo and Induro have lasted through, but they seem up to par.
