Digital Speed Challenge #662 - Nighttime

Show me your images that were shot at night.

This challenge begins when posted and ends on Monday, July 5th at midnight GMT. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Challenge Rules:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, not just DSLR.
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have lots of FUN!

Okay, back from a holiday weekend in the US and I see several images posted to the competition. My favorites were:

dilorenzo1954 (Ed) - Dark Chocolate
A historic sign on an interesting building with brightly lit interiors and a good title too. That's a big candy store! Good job Ed.

OldCrow (Don) - untitled
Backlit clouds with a foreground church spire lit from underneath. This image has a nice "feel" but I am unable to come up with the right word to describe it. Nice image nonetheless.

Happygav - untitled
A pair of leading lines on a snowy night. Nice image.

Something I noticed in the last competition and I see another example here is that images have been submitted after the midnight GMT deadline. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the time in Greenwich England, an eastern suburb of London. Typically GMT is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST). That means that midnight GMT occurs at 7 PM on Monday in the Eastern time zone. London has Daylight Savings Time just like much of the USA thus the 5-hour difference still applies. I hope this explanation helps.
