Had the opportunity to go to the the Big 12 championships in Lincoln NE Saturday night. First time shooting indoor sports with my 350. All shots were with the 50mm 1.8/f lens. Did some cropping and a little levels adjustment. Was in ap mode: 1600 ISO, F/2.8 and shutter between 1/500 and 1/1000 speed. Would appreciate any help that you can offer.

good moments but your background is too messy and that can throw off the whole image.. remember to keep your backgrounds clean... getting some tighter crops will also make it seem like its cleaner

Rodrigo,
Thanks for the comments. I was in the upper stands and have already cropped quite a bit. I am not very good at removing noise, so quite with the cropping where I did. I need to remember that the background is part of the picture also. I have attached a couple more, but they have the same issues that you addressed with my first posting. I'll keep trying. I feel that a fast zoom (70 - 200) would be a nice tool to get better shots. Maybe someday. Thanks again.
