I was recently given a family book with photos dating back to around 1900. There are clearly a few different types of photography/printing that were used to generate these photos and there were a few different studios listed on the cards.

Can anyone tell me what different photographic methods were used in that time and does anyone have additional information on any of these studios? I'm also kind of curious what a portrait session would have cost back then.

Here are a few of the Photographers/Studios:

  • D. Clark: 655 George St., New Brunswick, NJ
  • Egan and Holloway: 508 Arch St., Philadelphia
  • Liegel Cooket: New York.
  • Dunn: 240 Burnett st. New Brunswick, NJ

Below are two of the photos.
