One of the bits which the flash head attaches to broke - any idea on how to fix it? Or can you buy a new one from any where?

The hazard of purchase of these brands is typically the lack of support function from the factory to a distributor who carries spares inventory...why the purchase price is low.
"Throw it away and buy another" is the mantra of those defending the lack of spares or service organization.

I own 6 Yongnuo flash units (1 is macro ring) & they have treated me well. I must say they have the worst customer service on the planet. Call B&H. The battery door on the ring flash broke & Yongnuo never returned any attempts of me trying to get help. However, the problem was so well known & happened so often, that a replacement door is available @ B&H. Worth a shot.

I have 5 Yn 560III and transmitter and they cost less than a single 600EXII-RT. Only reason I went that route is A: cost B: never liked Canon multi flash TTL. Really only need 3-4 but a spare never hurts. All of them cost just under $400. Had them four over 4 years now nand none have broken down yet.

I have 4 of the manual 560II & 1 w/TTL. I NEVER use TTL, that helps keep cost down. Apparently they are only having trouble with their macro flash units. I'm a little concerned about my macro flash (Bolt), first thing I noticed right out of the box was the flimsy plastic bits that hold the flash head on the mount. There was just no way I was paying $1,000 for the Canon.

I checked B&H, there is a replacement battery door for the ring flash under "accessories" (that I purchased, then never used the flash again) but I see nothing for the flash mounting.
