I just had to post this opinion, particularly in view of the fact that so many buyers are totally price conscious and consider nothing about product quality or follow-on repairs or spare parts:

The Metz is a pro grade product used by professionals for dozens of years, and has a huge following as a wedding/events coverage reliable product.
The unit offered for sale has the power output like the Canon 580EX (which is the same as the Canon 600EX...which is merely higher rated only because of zoom head narrowing the light beam for 200mm coverage---the Canon 600EX is NO MORE POWERFUL than the 580EX!!!) If I did not already own five Meta flash units, this offering is a tremendously priced deal that I would snap up. It is far better than buying the brands that have zero post-sale support (spare parts/repairs) in the US/Canada...with those brands, break the hotfoot and you have to throw away the flash! And unlike a Canon brand flash in photosensor mode (Canon calls that 'External' mode) the Metz will give a properly illuminated exposure, unlike the Canons which underexpose shots.
