Hi guys,
I just got R6 and plan to buy the RF Macro 100 2.8 IS but it looks like it is not available in the market. Based on specs but no reviews yet. Should I spend $1400 for RF or just got EF one? Thank you.

Body: R6 mirorless
Lenses: RF 24-70 f2.8/ RF 800 f11

Nobody can really answer that for you. The EF 100L (and non L, really) is an excellent lens. Many people have been happy with it for the use you describe. But the new lens has higher magnification and bokeh control. So it really depends how much you want those features.

If you bought a well priced EF version used, you would likely not lose much at all selling it later if you decide to upgrade. I probably wouldn't buy any brand new EF lenses anymore, but used ones can be a bargain.
