Ok I've been taking moon pics every few nights. I'm using a Canon 90d with a sigma contemporary 150-600mm. Most of my best shots come from 100iso, f11, 1/25shutter. At 600mm I get good detailed images. I realize sometimes pushing a lens to its far reaches is not always its sweet spot. When I zoom out to 500mm every picture is blurry. I've used then lens alot for wildlife and have had acceptable clarity at all ranges. Any ideas what this could be. The blurry image almost looks like camera shake. When I shoot my shots image stabilization is off and I shoot from a tripod. I use the 10 second timer to give it plenty of time to settle after I push the shutter button. Any help would be appreciated.

I actually have no idea and I have been thinking about it all day ... I want to see how this works out as it really shouldn't.

Have you changed iso/f stop/ exposure time to see if it makes any difference?

No I kept it all the same. That is one thing I can try. It's been cloudy in my area so I haven't been out to try again. I'm hoping on Sunday that it is clear for the full moon.
