Digital Speed Challenge #670: Sharp

We are following Rob's idea in the last challenge. Scissors is too specific, so anything sharp will qualify

This challenge begins when posted and ends on Monday, August 30th at midnight GMT. Winner of this challenge will be announced shortly thereafter.

Challenge Rules:

1. Camera: Any DIGITAL CAMERA is allowed, not just DSLR.
2. Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered.
3. Size: Please visit Image Posting Rules.
4. Post Processing: Do whatever you like and the host will decide if it works.
5. Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
6. Commenting: No commenting during challenge. When the posting is closed and a winner declared, comments can be made in this thread.
7. Keep it clean, and both Family and Work safe.
8. Have questions, PM me.
9. Have lots of FUN!

* THE WINNER ALWAYS SETS THE THEME FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE, POSTS IT AND JUDGES IT - BE PREPARED!

Some sharp Red Leicester photographed through the equally sharp Canon 16-35 f/4 L IS USM.
(Say cheese!)

Round-up time

Jerry-R's sword certainly fits the bill but the handle dominates the shot rather than the sharp blade

dilorenzo1954 thought laterally, I like that. Would have preferred low key which I almost always feel, suits musical instrument players

OldCrows saw chain is very familiar to me, it's not long ago that I hung up my chainsaws

I Like Ltdave's sharp-shooters; there are 3 "sharps in this shot!

RDWP; Red Leicester is a tad too sharp for my tongue, I prefer Wensleydale or Cheshire. Sadly I found this shot lacks impact.

Ltdave gets the crown this week for achieving 3 sharps"

Thanks to all for your entries

Jerry-R, your presentation is outstanding!

DiLorenzo, im tone deaf so i'll take your work for it, that thats, a G-sharp...

Old Crow, my wife liked your "follow the contours" and yes chains ARE sharp and dangerous even when dull!

RDWP, im with Stiga. i dont like sharp cheese. at all. im a Havarti or Mozzarella but that would certainly work in the "orange" themed thread. well shot...

Thank you Stiga for the nod! next challenge is here:

Yes, I reallize this shot was a bit cheesy. (But a lovely 18-month old variety - would have made Scrooge see ghosts every night for a week.) :p

Congrats to LtDave and the other sharp shooters!
