What do I need in order to publicly use my wedding photo/video work to promote my business, e.g. as samples used in ads?

Normally I get model releases from my seniors and models, but how do I do this with weddings? I hope I don't have to get a release from every person depicted. There are so many at weddings!

Anyone appearing in your photos can stop you from continuing to use the photo containing their face, if any of your brochures and other printed matter, or in photos used in your website, or displayed in your store.

Recognize that potential ability to stop your usage, without having a modelling permit stating your potential usage for promoting your own business.

Editorial publication usage, or in photos sold by you as decor, are both exempted from the above, if you are in USA

Does that apply to video also?

And how then do wedding videographers deal with this difficulty? Do they roll the dice and hope for the best? Get release from everyone depicted?

"commercial usage of my likeness' is what can be stopped...that still photos are on continuous display makes the detection of unauthorized usage of still easier to detect. So likelihood of someone learning their likeness is being used commercially is greater. If my own likeness appears for a few seconds out of a five minute looping video of yours, I may never learn it is being on display in your business. But I can still stop you from including my likeness, if I find out.
