Hey Allen.. That's a cool photo, but I think you didn't read the "rules" for WWPW ;-)a
I think that photo might not have been taken this week...

You are quite right, Joayne. . According to Flickr, it appears that Allen took that photo of the Pringles on December 28, 2020.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Okay, this is a bit of a stretch for the number 7, but here goes .....

I felt like I was in seventh heaven early on Wednesday morning, when this Elk started trotting down the slope and I saw that I would be able to align him with the bluish wooded slopes in the distance.

Well, Joayne, I am glad you brought up that possibility. . But no, this bull has 6 points on each antler.

However, the bull that came down the slope just a moment earlier has 7 points on his left antler! . I wouldn't have thought of that if you hadn't mentioned it.

So here is the first bull, who does have 7 points on his left antler, and then the photo below that is of the two bulls together just a minute before they started trotting downhill.

It's easy. Reading from the right: 1, 2, 4. The "zero" was the clue I needed. Without that, I might still be staring at the thing.

How did you look it up? . Where did you look it up, and what search words did you use?

When I searched Google using the words: . pencil masking tape flashlight clothes pin number 7

I didn't get any results that helped me "get it".

I am the one who is still staring at the thing, now for over 20 minutes. . What a way to spend my labor Day afternoon, huh?

Even with you providing clues about it being "binary" and reading 1, 2, and 4 from right to left, I still have no idea what any of that means, and no clue what those objects have to do with the number seven. . I just don't see a 1, a 2, or a 4 there in that group of objects. . I don't see any way that those things could be representing those numbers.

I want to understand, but seem to be incapable of it.

.

I looked up “binary for 7”
He’s just picked items that resemble the 1’s
0111

Those who code or took computer science classes (is that still a thing?) would be familiar with binary code

I don’t know what mysterious thing OhLook is referring to ... :-|

So ..... none of the objects are supposed to look like a 2 or a 4, right? . That's good, because I kept trying to see how they could resemble a 2 or a 4, and just wasn't seeing it.

Tom, 111 is the number 7 written in binary. 7 = 1 + 2 + 4. The arabic number system uses base 10. The binary system uses base 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_number (external link)

I didn't write "going on 12 minutes now."

I haven't coded or taken those classes. I think I was first exposed to binary numbers in high-school math. They were more of a curiosity then. Now the binary system doesn't seem so exotic, since digital technology has come to dominate life.

By "the thing" I meant the whole image.

Right. The array is a zero followed by three ones.
