Hi,

Been using a Kingston FCR-HS3 all in one reader for many years, it works fine but recently I purchased a Kingston card that was bundled with the "MobileLite Plus" small card reader.

I was shocked to see this tiny reader was faster with all my SD cards than my old card reader.

Now I do need CompactFlash and SD card reader so my question is. What is the best reader you can get now days.

If I didn't need CF I would just use the MobileLite Plus reader, its super fast and compact.

I got one of these.

ProGrade Digital Compact Flash and SD UHS-II Dual-Slot Memory Card Reader | USB 3.2 Gen 2
https://www.amazon.com …der-Compact/dp/B07JMWNQTZ (external link)

Works with regular CF cards and UHS-I and UHS-II SD cards. Seems to get the most out of any card I put in it.

I have two of them. ProGrade Digital frequently offers discount of 15%-20% on their products, as well as when you subscribe to their email list.

You might want to take the existing Kingston reader and make sure it is up to date on firmware. See https://www.kingston.com …technical/downloads/89636 (external link). Take note it does not list Windows 10 but some reports indicate it works fine and speeds up the read speeds.

Didn't know it would have a updatable firmware... going to check now, thanks

The card reader I have been using for years is the Kingston FCR-HS4

So probably very similar to yours, but just the updated version. . Maybe they're up to 5 or 6 or 7 now? . Maybe just getting the latest one would do what you need it to do.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
