Looking to get a lens collar for my Canon 70-200 4L IS.

There obviously is the Canon brand lens collar that you can find online between $100-$150.

They advertise Alloy Collars for around $30.

Anyone have any experience who the Alloy ones?

Any info appreciated.

Canon 7D 2, Canon 6D 2. 111, Canon 24-105 4L IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II, Canon 100-400 II, Canon 28-135, Canon 17-40 4L.

I have a Fotodiox Aluminum collar for my 70-300L. Works fine. Only issue I had was the grip around the barrel wasn't snug enough for me, so I added
a strip of self adhesive rubber gasket on the top half and it's perfect.

I've owned several aftermarket collars and they're generally fine. Maybe not as smooth turning as the the Canon collars, but to be honest, the Canon ones aren't the perfect examples of precision machining their price might suggest. Still, they're fine as well.

The collar for the 80-200 F/4 is the same one that fits the 400mm 5.6. I've had this one on my 400 forever with zero problems. And I like the fact that, unlike the Canon collars, it has an Arca foot.
