I'm helping someone compile info for their upcoming purchase of new equipment that they will be using to record lectures with decent video and audio
I know the EOS series takes decent quality video, so I guess my first question is can these units be setup where the speaker is using an audio mic that is connected across the room to the camera via blue tooth so the audio is being directly fed in to the camera in real time?
The cheapy video camera she is using now has a mic on the video camera itself so when she's taking video / audio recordings the speaker's voice has to carry across the room to the video camera so as you can imagine the audio quality is not that good.
I'm probably going to end up pitching in to help pay for a new setup, si I'd like to keep the over all budget around $2000 for camera, lens, and a blue tooth mic that the speaker wears (battery powered) where the receiver is by the camera to be plugged directly in to the camera
Another caveat in this is the speaker is already speaking into a mic that is connected to a sound system with speakers where lecturers are being held so the audio source may be the sound system itself which there should be an out put jack to plug in to for the audio source.
Where lecturers are being held, the lady is currently around maybe 60 to 75 feet out in front of the speaker with her current video camera sitting on top of a tripod
Any ideas on what components to consider buying would be appreciated.
I know there are lots of knowledgeable folks here that know about stuff like this
