I was not sure where to post this question. I have been shooting with a 70-200 iii and 2x extender for my kids sports for a couple years. I noted an issue last year but this was a low priority issue for me.

I noticed that the focus points I choose (center 5 sensors) shifts to the right one 'box' and thus out of the center of the reticle on it's own. I cannot figure out what is reproducing this but it will happened two or three times during a game.

Anyone have any similar issues? I don't know if this is limited to the combination of the 2x extender or if it would occur only with the 70-200 on the camera. I have never noticed this before with my 50's or my 28-70 L. I though perhaps I was hitting a button and causing this, but could not find such a button on the 1Dx. I should in Custom mode with my settings stored in C1, 2 and 3 for various scenarios. I have the center 5 sensors set for both horizontal and vertical shooting.

Thank you,

Mike
