Does Canon gear go on sale during the holidays?

By holidays I mean black friday or cyber monday. Or perhaps Christmas sale.

I want to buy the Canon R5, from an online retailer or from Canon refurb site.
Based on past experience, would you expect it to go on sale?

Hard to believe but the holidays are right around the corner!

IF dealers/distributors have plenty of STOCK, and the demand needs to be STIMULATED to higher levels to move that stock, there is a chance of promotional pricing.

But now we have pent up demand that cannot be satisfied with available stock; lots of folks have already placed BACKORDERS and they wait expectantly for the demand to be fulfilled who-knows-when? will the shipments arrive to the retailers to ship backorders?!
Factories cannot build fast enough because supplies of key components are backordered, too.

Thanks for the replies. I would buy it now but I can't use it until my rotator cuff heals. So I'll wait and see.
