A couple of free graphics apps were mentioned recently in the Before and After thread and this made me wonder what else there is out there that is worth having. There are certainly 2 or 3 that I that I use regularly. Here are some that I have used.

Aurora HDR 2018 (external link) - it was updated in 2019, but this earlier version is extremely capable and has a sophisticated editor in addition to many presets.

Fastone (external link) viewer (Windows only)

Irfanview (external link) (Windows only)

Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) v2.0
(external link) (Windows only) A very effective image stither.

Nik Collection 1.2.11 (external link) (Windows only) A plethora of editing tools

SNS-HDR Lite (external link) + GUI (external link) (Windows only) Instructions here (external link) (PDF)

ShiftN (external link) (Windows only) perspective distortion correction

Please help me to expand this list - I guess that GIMP will be a contender

Hugin (external link)- pano stitcher, etc.

RawTherapee (external link) - raw converter with more controls than you will ever want or need

XnView MP (external link) - viewer, dam, batch processor

Raw Photo Processor (external link) (Mac only) - excellent raw converter, a donation amount of your choosing unlocks camera profiling

More please!

Thank you, kirk. I will copy your suggestion to my original post so that all can be seen at a glance.

The majority of shots in my gallery were done with Darktable. There are a couple Photoshop and film scans.

HERE (external link) is a whole list of FREE programs, several of which I have used.

I saw RawTherapee already mentioned ; ART (external link) is a "fork" of RawTherapee meant to be more user-friendly and not quite so overwhelming for beginners.

I am not at all familiar with such things; this photopea must be some sort of online program - or is it - ; I clicked the link and an editor window immediately opened on my screen.
