Free apps, what can you reccomend?

A couple of free graphics apps were mentioned recently in the Before and After thread and this made me wonder what else there is out there that is worth having. There are certainly 2 or 3 that I that I use regularly. Here are some that I have used.

Aurora HDR 2018 - it was updated in 2019, but this earlier version is extremely capable and has a sophisticated editor in addition to many presets.

Fastone viewer (Windows only)

Irfanview (Windows only)

Microsoft Image Composite Editor (ICE) v2.0 (Windows only) A very effective image stither.

Nik Collection 1.2.11 (Windows only) A plethora of editing tools

SNS-HDR Lite + GUI (Windows only) Instructions here (PDF)

ShiftN (Windows only) perspective distortion correction

Please help me to expand this list - I guess that GIMP will be a contender

RawTherapee - raw converter with more controls than you will ever want or need

XnView MP - viewer, dam, batch processor

Raw Photo Processor (Mac only) - excellent raw converter, a donation amount of your choosing unlocks camera profiling

HERE is a whole list of FREE programs, several of which I have used.

I saw RawTherapee already mentioned ; ART is a "fork" of RawTherapee meant to be more user-friendly and not quite so overwhelming for beginners.

I am not at all familiar with such things; this photopea must be some sort of online program - or is it - ; I clicked the link and an editor window immediately opened on my screen.
