I know it is a dumb question; BUT,

Is each successive version of EOS Utility backwards compatible with older cameras ?

In other words, if I download the latest greatest EOS Utility, will it work for all of my Canon DSLRs ?

Owning Canon since 2013, I have not as yet had reason to fire up EOS Utility, but I think I may have found a use for it now.

Thanks for all help.

From memory, when I recently downloaded and installed EOS Utility Version 3, it installed Version 2 as well. This on a Win 10 64Bit PC.

I assume that this approach is to ensure that EOS Utility will work for older models of Canon cameras, where the previous Version 2 might be required?

Cheers

Dennis
