And we do really appreciate it. There are weeks when I take out the camera just to get something for WWPW.
That goes for me too, joayne. The camera comes along anyway when I go out, but I have the WWPW theme in mind and try to watch for a subject that might fit it, however stretchily.
54 year old drafting lamp I purchased when I went to University to study Engineering. The last 20 years it has served as the shop lamp over my barn workbench. In spite of the dust, rust, and the hay bale twine to help the now weak springs, it continues to work.
Tim, I decry throwaway culture, and I value old things that remain in use–call it an eccentricity–but I have to ask: if you remember getting the lamp, and you still use it, how "forgotten" and "neglected" can it be?
So today I walked around, confident in finding something abandoned. Scenes like this are all too common here.
