Taken with a 4X microscope objective mounted on a sony A6000 camera body- all in the garden. Some shots are focus stacks. The small diameter of the microscope lens helps with getting low angle shots.

Very nice how does that compare to the MPE65? What are the pros and cons?

Excellent! I have been trying to get similar springtail pix with "lesser" equipment. I guess one pretty much has to use a microscope lens to do it.

Thanks for the comments. :)

Davholla- Pros set up is much lighter and easier to get lower angle shots.
cons. Only one magnification- poss low light problems in viewfinder of DSLR, setup does seem to suffer from flare in certain situations.
