Upgraded to UDMA 7 cards.....what was I waiting for......

I had been using UDMA 6 cards since I bought the 1Dx in 2014. I finally took the time to look into newer versions. LOL. The write speed is only TWICE as fast. Doh'

Oh well, better late than never.

From CF 700x to Lexar 1066x.

I ran a Lexar 1066X in the 5D-IV but since my work wasn't high speed, the speed benefits were not taken advantage of.

What do the numbers actually refer to, my SanDisk CF cards give 170 bps as transfer speeds? Are yours transferring at 1066 bps?

Jumping in here. I think you mistyped and it should be 170 Mbps. I have 1066 cf cards and without hauling out a camera it looks like they may be 160 mbps. At least from a quick google search that is what I found.

I'll have to check the card, but it's a noticeable difference. I can shoot more frames at high speed before buffering. LOL.

Football season is over. Wrestling soon. Still eyeing a 300 mm f2.8. LOL.
