Hi have been here on and off. I really like the people on the site, but find the generalized forums a little hard to use. I will comment on the Canon area, but I my comment maybe the same for other areas.

Any Chance we could add a few more forums. I would love for a Canon R Series forum. I would spend more time here, and I assume a few others would if it was easier to post messages about Canon R cameras. Right now I have to go to the Canon Camera section, find a thread on the R5 and then post in that thread with a lot of other questions on the R5.

Just my thoughts. I know I am not a frequent poster here, so if my suggestion goes against how the forums are used here I understand.

Adding/changing forums is a delicate thing, personally I'd rather make less forums that cover a bigger "range", but changes are always "hard" for the members. Been there, seen that :) Some changes will happen for sure.

To find R5 posts and threads easily, you could use the search. Here are some searches that would help you:

threads where title contains R5:

Posts with keyword R5:

Posts with keyword R5 and lens:

Posts with images, metadata contains R5:

You can bookmark this reply as reference, or just open the search history in search tool: two clicks to any recent search.

.
I would really like to see some work done to change the titles of the existing sub-forums, so as to make them more inclusive. . I am one of those people who needs everything to fit perfectly into a category. . It causes major dissonance in my mind when I see a thread about an RF lens in a sub-forum that is entitled "Canon EF and EF-S Lenses".

Everything everywhere in the world should be correct and perfect and properly labeled and accurately categorized, and we can start by doing so here on POTN!

Pekka, I remember years ago you put a heck of a lot of time making improvements and additions to POTN. . You worked so hard to keep things up to date and proper. . Do you plan to still put in the same kind of effort, or have you moved on to spending your time on other things in your life?

If you have moved on, and don't plan to put the same level of effort and time into POTN that you used to, then is there some way that you can set things up so that someone else can make all of the changes and additions that are necessary to keep all of the gear-related content up to date? . It would be great if someone who is proficient at writing code could spend an hour or three every week to add each of the new camera and lens models to the gear database, and to keep up on renaming the sub-forums when it becomes necessary to do so.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
