Hello Everyone, the two images were taken one right after the other. Camera settings,

Manual
1/250
Auto ISO
White Balance set to 4700K (I also tried AWB)
Evaluative metering
AI Server
High Speed Drive

If you look at the two photos, the exposure is funky at best and different between two shots taken at essentially the same time. I have never seen this on my camera before, even under other lighting situations. Initial thought was something wrong with camera but now I am wondering, and my question, could the lighting at the field been messing with the metering of the camera? Appreciate any thoughts...

Thanks,

Tom

What camera?
Some have a setting that measures the lighting flicker from the AC frequency and adjust the timing between exposures to get the same exposure.

Yes, it is the lights.

As mentioned flicker sensing can help but many of us have experienced this over the years and just delt with it. When the field gets a light upgrade to LED some day this problem will go away.

Here's a little test/demonstration I did on flickering lights years ago.
