Backing into our garage is a tight fit with numerous visual warnings that I'm going to crash into a wall, while at the same time loudly sounding a two-tone warning of impending doom.

Good Lord, such fancy apparatus! Cars became spaceships when I wasn't paying attention.

Yesterday’s dinner.

EDIT: It was a 3-way split. I do love food, but I couldn't possibly eat this whole spread by myself :-)

What rabbit hole I've been down....

I present the epitome of awful photography! :p
I took some shots, at night, with my cell phone.. not really thinking that I would use them for WWPW.
Well, it comes to Monday night and I realize that I have not, again, participated... but then I remember I did take some cell phone photos!

Well.. The photos were not readable by any device and Adobe wanted me to sign in and do all kinds of gymnastics and
Microsoft got into the game... it became 1am and here is what I'm presenting to you all.
The Worst Photo Ever Uploaded to the Photography-on-the.net

*edit*.. so now I've found the path to better compatibility with iPhone photos. Wow ... .. .

;-)a

joayne, that photo may indeed be the worst, but I enjoyed your story.

So.. I have learned that those of us with iPhones have been given an update that changed the way photos are saved. HEIC/HEIF is the new native file type, but that can be changed in the settings.

" iPhone saves photos in HEIC format by default. If you want to change that, we've got you covered. Apple switched its default camera formats for photos and videos from JPG to HEIC (High-Efficiency Image Format) with iOS 11 to save space on the phone."

I may be late to the party, and I feel super Low-Tech right now, but anyone else left behind by the iOS upgrade to iOS 11, here's how to get back to shooting in .jpg.. I can't believe that this happened last March

Image result for How can I change iPhone native file type
Here's how:

Go to Settings on your iPhone.
Tap Camera. You will be shown some options like Formats, Grid, Preserve Settings, and Camera Mode.
Tap Formats, and change the format from High Efficiency to Most Compatible.
Now all your photos will be automatically saved as JPG instead of HEIC.

I do wish I had been more aware of the changes to my phone when upgrading to iOS 11. I now have a few photos that are totally degraded due to my lack of awareness.

Previously it was a low-tech tennis ball hanging from the ceiling and the rear view mirror almost scraping the wall. :p
