Looking to get a Dell XPS. Which screen should I go with? Was thinking oled. Thoughts? The 17 inch looks inviting but doesn't offer the oled display in that size

I just got the 17 for large keyboard, more power (less throttling), and 3060 card. I got the 4K touchscreen since battery life isn't a priority. I would say even though it isn't OLED, it's very comparable. If the concern is content creation, the screen is very good (it's over 100% Adobe RGB). I also don't think the laptop OLEDs are as good as say OLED TVs that have a higher peak brightness. I'd say the 17 is worth it if you're doing content creation, video work, and gaming. I primarily got it for development, and since it has a newer graphics card than my other PC laptop, I've bought Cyberpunk 2077 for it. If it's primarily photography and smaller form factor, than the 15 or 13 are good for their class too (my dad just got a new XPS 15 after being happy with an older one).

Make sure you check the actual Dell website, https://www.dell.com …?appliedRefinements=15677 (external link) For the 17-inch models. Very carefully check the “Deals” drop down area along the top of the screen.

You should also check the “Outlet” area; https://www.dell.com …ue&ac=categoryfacetselect (external link) for the procuts you are considering. I have purchased one Dell refurb and it was essentially new. I did find evidence that someone had started the setup (evidence of a profile) but other than that it was fine, even still works having gone through the Win 7 >> Win 10 upgrade.

There's also different sales on the XPS for business. You can get the same hardware configurations, and the main difference is Windows 10 Pro (which you can update to 11) vs Windows 11 Home. I'm also not sure if this is still true or not: but in the past I've gotten more individualized support with Dell Business vs typical phone bank at Dell Home.
