I'm cleaning out a closet, trying to sell the stuff I never use. But I bought this do long ago I don't know what it is, to list it.

It sorta looks like it


  1. mounts on a light stand
  2. provides a foot to secure a speedlight at the end
  3. allows the speedlight head to be pointed thru the round ring
  4. the round ring provides a means of attaching a flash speedring, which mounts a softbox

...as the ring in the photo does not appear to have any mounting holes for the support rods in a softbox.

I have never seen/used something like this, but above is what I deduce from its appearance.

Looks like a mounting bracket for a small to medium softbox using a speedlight. The front ring looks to be Bowens mount, although it's hard to tell. Some 24 inch (or therabouts) softboxes use a friction mount around that front ring

Yes bowens that's the word I couldn't remember. The soft box goes on then rotates 90° to lock in. Thank you.
