This week I bought a spare parts bundle for Flashpoint XPLOR 600. There's a regular battery, AC adapter, light tube and 1200 dual attachment .... The AC adapter photo shows no cord. I have the same adapter with cord at home to test with when it arrives next week. But if the shipped unit functions I need to order another cord / cable. The light end of it is similar to my other AC Flashpoint monolight cords. Doing various random searches, it seems this may be a universal small appliance cord like for PCs and various other things.

Ever ordered or replaced one?

Ebay or Adorama have several with similar looking ends, like this one:

In my storeroom the Flashpoint monolight cables are near identical to the XPLOR 600 AC adapter cable, with the 300w monolight cables having "SJT" and the 600 cable showing "SVT". Apparently SJT have thicker insulation and may be more oil resistant.

Photos of the back of XPOR 600 AC adapter and cable are shown here:

Some like this next link at Amazon, describe some universalism for 3 pin cords

https://www.amazon.com …dp/B0728CMCDM/ref=sr_1_15 (external link)?

If there are any thrift stores near you, you are likely to find a suitable power cable very cheaply!

I'll keep that in mind. If indeed this is more of a universal style cable, there's probably one at Goodwill

It would be nice to keep this as low as possible. I paid $95 for the package of parts with no promise of any working. There's a fair chance every part works. KEH has a return policy so there's little risk. If the battery works, I may try a back flip. Those are $180 new. The bulbs are close to $100.

At first, I thought the bulb was for the 1200w double extension but it's for the XPLOR 600 which is even better. The 1200 extension is the item I really don't need. If all the stuff works. it's a question mark whether it's worth paying $200 for a single bulb for the 1200 double attachment.

There are simple monitors power cables, just run to your local Best Buy

I get those cords from Amazon. Computer stores normally have only the short ones, six feet, maybe 10 or 12 fee maximum. Amazon has them at 15- and 20-foot lengths.

I would wager that Home Depot and Lowe’s would have options.

That is a standard " NEMA 5-15 to C13" power cord. It's used for a lot of different devices. Go to Amazon and search for "NEMA 5-15 to C13 power cord."
