Thanks for the comments Davholla and John- appreciated :)

John - the set up is much smaller and lighter than my MPE setup (1.4 vs 2.8 kg) but main advantage is the small lens diameter allowing you to get get low angle shots when the bugs are on hard surfaces.

I tried the MPE65 with the Raynox x4 but DOF is too thin to be practical in the field, be fine for studio stacks.
Have you got a photo of your objective on the camera?

Have you got a photo of your objective on the camera?

DOF is pretty thin with this rig.

So really needing to stack every shoot. I was hoping to use the x4 with my Olympus but the working distance is too small. Anyway your set up is producing the goods.
