I've repeatedly tried to "Right click > Edit In > Open as Layers in Photoshop"
It would open Photoshop 2022 but would say in a box "Cannot Launch Photoshop 2022", now it doesn't even say that, just opens PS 2022 and nothing happens...
So then I discovered that you can do it from PS 2022 by going to "Files > Scripts > Load Files into Stack"
It would open one image down in the Layers, and below it a checkered box that says "Load Layers".
I can't do a single thing with the image showing though, if I click on any of the editing tools it makes that weird sound.
What gives? ???

That is odd. From LrC is my guess? Windows or Mac? That does sound odd. Can you open PS itself. For just general trouble shooting I guess you closed and reopened both apps. Next often resettng preferences can do the trick. Next re-install one or both apps.

Just for kicks ... open PS and load a random image.

Then try again from LR with 2 or more images selected.

It will load one image, but within 2 minutes it freezes and I can't do anything.
LrC works fine, no problems at all.

When PS opens, it goes to a screen "Your Files" and it says "You have no cloud documents". I'm seriously wondering if this would work better with the Lightroom that is connected with Cloud.

It will allow me to open an image (PS), and mess around with it, but I cannot open two images as stacks to merge/blend.

Here are the two images I've been wanting to play around with, now neither are great but as far as blending two images - one with an okay sky and one with an okay foreground. I figured they'd be good for learning.

I decided to mess with the Lightroom that's connected to the Cloud and it gave me an option to Merge - HDR Merge. It only gives 3 options, HDR Merge, Panorama Merge, or HDR Panorama Merge. So I don't think this is the answer... I'll show the image in the next post.

Here is the image HDR Merge.
Again, I don't think this is the answer to my problem. I've uninstalled the PS22 and reinstalled, then restarted my computer but no fix. I don't think it's my Graphics Card failing because I am certain that LrC LR and PS wouldn't work at all.
I mainly use LrC, but since learning that a lot of Landscape/Nature Photographers use blending and merging to get amazingly sharp landscape images from foreground to background, I've been wanting to experiment and test it.

I believe the problem you are talking about is known by Adobe and will be fixed in the next dot release of LR which should be coming soon.

I've no experience with using LR or PS along with the cloud ... seems you have a conflict there.

When I want to work images on another computer, I do it the old fashion way ... usb thumb drive. :-)

That's what I typically do, I just wondered if that stupid cloud had anything to do with it. I don't think so, though... I think the LR cloud one is more to connect my LR app on my Android to that LR app on desktop. I personally prefer LRC, though ߙ
