Some images that I took at a sand sculpting competition in Westerly, Rhode Island on an changeable-weather day.
It was mostly overcast and drizzly when we attended, with steady rain forecast for subsequent days.
The sculptures that were outside of a nearby tent, were not considered as part of the competition.

The Atlantic Ocean is immediately behind the dune that is seen in many images.

I find the detail on this sculpture mind-boggling, especially the texture on the reptile's jaws, and especially when viewed on Flickr.

Busy 24hrs for me working for the sports media last weekend with top of the table football clash on Friday evening, followed by some AIL rugby and hockey on Saturday afternoon. Still haven't upgraded the R3 firmware as its going nicely at the moment and I don't want to risk it throwing a spanner in the works.
Some international football coming up this weekend to add to the mix. Thank God for electronic shutters, they're a game changer. :lol:
