I have all of those lenses except for the 600. Mine are working great on a R6 using the Canon adaptor with the control ring. In fact they are better on the R6 than they are on my 5DIV.

I have the control ring and filter adapters for my R5 and have been happy with both. Even my 85L feels a bit snappier on the R5.

Each lens will perform the same if not better when used on a mirrorless body, primarily due to the superior AF system. The real downside is that you add up size/weight. I didnt think it would bother me, but it makes some of the small to "normal" size lenses feel a bit awkward to handle. Your 100L is going to feel like you're aiming a cruise missle. My Sigma 35A just looked silly with the added length of the mount, but with my 100-400, I barely notice the difference.

Is the control ring adapter worth the extra $100? What do you folks usually assign to that ring?

I have a Speedbooster which has a control ring on it, so I'm tempted to get the control ring adapter just for consistency. I figure I would probably assign aperture to it.
