Found this lone Greater White-fronted Goose among a grouping of Canada Geese. Rare to see one in NW Florida.

What a great find! . I imagine the local birders, and even some not-so-local birders, are pretty excited about this.

I'm thinking of coming to NW Florida sometime in the next few months ..... interested to know if you happen to have a fair amount of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks around. . They're the species that I want to photograph most the next time I get to Florida.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

While I've seen the Black-bellied Whistling Ducks on occasion in and around NW FL, they're few and far between. Most I've ever seen were in LA. I've seen them both on the bayou (Bayou Black near Gibson, LA) and in and around Baton Rouge. Good luck!

Cool. It’s a fairly common bird here. Quite a number of them come to the Netherlands and Flanders to stay the winter. They usually team up with other types of geese, like the Greylag goose, a goose that looks quite similar in the field. Not always easy to recognise which is which.
