Blue Hole - New Years Day

I don't pay much mind to dates on the calendar. Don't really care if it's the 4th or 5th or 6th.

But I do keep an eye on the weather. I like it in between nasty and nice. Season, time of day and weather determine my working light and this morning, in between storms, was accommodating.

Last storm came in cold and dumped a bunch of snow. Next one is supposed to be warmer and rain. That should melt things off. That's one of the things I like about living in western Washington. It only snows here once or twice a year, makes it all pretty and, about the time you get tired of it, it goes away.

First shot is a throwback from 30 Dec 2011, a few days after I first got the 10-22 for my T1i. I've had that camera and lens in a box for 3.5+ years and pulled them out this week for a trip to the same park and same location.

Second shot is the same location, same side of the lake and literally (by accident) 10 years later to the day, 30 Dec 2021!

I think I like my vintage shot a bit more. Happy and sad about that, eh.

Chris that's an outstandingly beautiful photo.
You've captured that so well.
Certainly a stunning vista
