Yes it is. On the Icefield's Parkway between Banff and Jasper NP. An incredible stretch of driving.

Thanks! I sort of like that old look where you have lots of contrast which adds a bit...the shapes of the shadows themselves can actually "add" to the shot... there's a name for it but I'm old/slow/forgetful....

Have you tried a polarizing filter for these? Sometimes they can actually work depending upon how early of day/angle/layers in the windows themselves

I hadn't thought of that, I'll try it during next trip across there. Unfortunately, I don't know when that will happen. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah many many years ago I had surprisingly good luck using one while going over one of the tributaries of the grand canyon... also try to slightly under expose maybe 1/3-2/3rds
