Last week I found a pond with tree swallows in a feeding frenzy picking up emerging insects (of some kind) off the lake. There were 40 or so birds feeding constantly and 2-3 making a pass over the water simultaneously. Never seen anything like it before. These are a couple of images from 3300 frames I shot in about an hour total shooting time over two days.

Nice. It's that time of year here as well. I saw ospreys dive eight times today. Six were successful and I never got one picture of the action. LOL. Lots of ducks, geese and gulls around as well as a few eagles. Most of the time with ospreys I see false starts where they hover, look and then shift position and repeat. Not today. Fly in, set up and dive, then leave. Maybe I'll do better tomorrow.
