Phenomenal flight captures, Cog! I'm guessing they are cormorants of some type.

I liked the one eye being hidden by his wing. I'm waiting on the FedEx truck today to deliver an OM-1. I'm curious to see if I can get anything close to the results I have been getting with my Sony gear. When I shoot from a wheelchair, every ounce I can save helps. At any rate, it's something new to play with ;-)a

A-Number-1 capture of this Common Tern, Cog! When the sharpness is good, and the eye can be clearly seen, I consider it a great success.

Great shot, with lots of mood, Mark!

Truly amazing photo Mike.
Beautiful composition.
They're certainly focused on the way ahead.
Quite some sight that would be along with noise I imagine, plus an odd squirt or two.

Thanks so much for you uplifting compliment, Richard! Funny you mentioned the noise. At times they come in making the whole word aware of their presence, with loud vocal honking. At other times they are dead silent. I don't remember these geese making a single sound.

Beautiful shot, Mike.

Thank you very much, fotoi.

Impressive shot! I just hope they are not coming my way.

Thank you kindly, Ed! Your compliment is really appreciated. I don't want you to be alarmed, but they were all headed in a north-eastly direction (Ottawa bound). I can only hope they don't fly over you with full stomachs.:-P

This is such a terrific shot, Mike! One awesome capture of near perfect synchronized flight.

One again Steve, your wonderful praise is so highly appreciated, even though I'm not deserving of such.

You got a lot of geese into the frame there! Captures the busyness of them all moving at once. Very nice.

Of all your stunning Osprey shots, this is my new favorite. Captures the intensity and critical moment of emergence. The single eye watching you is the icing on the cake. An outstanding photograph.

A White Bellied Sea Eagle put on a bit of a show for me this morning, plunging into the Huon(River) and snatching up an Eel. The old 700D with the kit 75 - 300 lens did a pretty reasonable job, if I ever win lotto I have promised myself an upgrade.

Many thanks, EB!
I am fortunate enough to live next to Fresno State Univ. FSU. It's a major ag. school, and crops are all over the area. We have corn and grain crops year around. Many hundreds of Canada geese fly in to feed twice a day. A lot of them even fly over my house. I like to go out there in the evenings and photograph mainly geese and dove in flight. I've been doing it for years. Love it.
