Excellent timing! I like the sand he kicked up.

Fantastic flight shot of the snowy plover, EB! Perfect head on shot!

Thanks very much both, I appreciate the comments. For once I was smart enough to shoot first and think about it later!

Right, so it looks like an R5 firmware bug.

Outstanding shot of the Long-tailed Duck, Jose. Their tails are actually quite a bit longer than those of Pintail ducks. I really like your flight capture of this beautiful drake Long-tailed Duck. It's a wall hanger.

Thanks Mike, appreciate the comment. I really like these ducks, fortunately we get a large number of them overwintering here in my area and they are relatively easy to approach, they are however super fast flyers which make them a great challenge to photograph in the air.

Spectacular capture, Paul! The heron is so nicely separated from the blurred background.

Northern Flicker (Yellow-shafted)

Outstanding flight capture, Steve! You pulled this this shot off beautifully. I see plenty of the red-shafted Northern Flickers, but never have I seen the yellow-shafted subspecies.

Crack'in shot Dave!

What an amazing capture, Ed. This osprey should have sawed that big hunk of wood in half. It would have been much easier to transport. :p

These are both terrific captures, JP. I really like the first shot because of the blurry water background. It definitely looks cool.
