Bluebird pushing himself backwards off his home and flipping over to go get another bug for the hungry youngsters. The midair dexterity of small birds always amazes me. It's literally quicker than the naked eye can see and can only be appreciated by freezing the action.

I went for a drive to the Skagit Valley to see if the snow geese have arrived--there were few with large migration patterns in the sky--.

Capturing Birds in Flight isn't an easy task! Dialing in your camera is the key to being successful. These Mottled Ducks are great for practice. They are fast movers and small targets.

For me this was the what made my day! I photographed this immature Bald Eagle's very first flight in February 2020. It wasn't pretty and he actually crashed into a tree on landing. But look at this Eagle soar now. Camera: Sony Alpha 1 Dec 29, 2022
