Red-tailed Hawk. Nest construction has begun. Looks like they chose a different tree, not so good for me, but I'm sure will be great for them!

Nice shots!

=Cap'n Fishy;19476352]Not a great shot, but it's not a bird I often get flying past me.

Woodcock...

Wow! You got a shot of one flying. Good job!

Nice flight captures of the nest construction, EB! It's too bad they ended up choosing a different tree. I hope you're able to get some shots of them inspite of their changing trees.

jm4ever wrote in post #19476215 (external link)
Both are great captures. That is too bad that they're relocating their nest, lets hope the new nest still gives you a clear view. You might want to check the old nest anyways, Great Horned Owls like to move into old hawk nests so you might see something new in there.

sogs wrote in post #19476477 (external link)
Nice shots!

Thanks all for the comments. I've heard a Great Horned Owl in their old tree (and/or very near it) this winter, so i wondered if that's what was spooking them. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

All birds photographed in the wild.

Thanks for the kind words Mike, always appreciated.
The Mussels are plentiful this year and the Limpkins are eagerly chowing down.

Red-Tailed Hawks. These two are still house-hunting. This taken last week, saw them bring sticks for the first time today, but seem to be visiting two different trees! Hoping they pick the one I see from my back yard again!

Nice! I've yet two see them flying in pairs, but I'm pretty sure there is a nest somewhere near me.
