Lame-Duck, Thank you...I was amazed at how many birds were still on the ground when I made this photo of the fly off.

Yes, I was surprised when I first started seeing Pelicans last year. Evidently we have quite a few during the Spring and Summer.

White pelicans are common inland. We had lots in Alberta where I used to live. Brown pelicans are more near the shore.

Burrowing Owls in flight ! Little more practice before calling it a day. Cloudy day in SW Florida so I decided to practice shooting some in flight action of the Burrowing Owls. Camera: Sony Alpha 1 with the FE 200-600mm. Shot is SW Florida on March 29, 2023.

Stupendous capture, Paul! I don't even know if I've ever seen an Arctic Tern. They look similar to Common Terns. Being coastal birds, I probably have not had the opportunity of seeing any.

Thank you, Mike.
You nailed it! Sharp BIF with complicated background.

Thank you very much, RAL. I miss a lot of shots like this because of the background.

Terrific 4 shot series of the Burrowing owls in flight, Jonathan!

I can't say with certainty, but I think it's a juvenile tricolored egret and #2 is an osprey couple.

Both the tri-colored egret and the osprey couple are beautifully captured, Kirk! That gator ain't too bad either.
