Neat photograph Mike...It reminds me of duck hunting stamps. I'm not a hunter, but have a bunch of the stamps in my collection.

Looks a bit like the three flying ducks people put on their wall!

Thank you very much, Pippan. But I'm not sure what the three flying ducks are, that people put on their walls.

I truly appreciate your thoughtful comment, Tom. Now I'm going to go look thru all my old duck stamps and see if any look somewhat like this photo.:-)

LD, or Mike
Often mistaken, but never in doubt.

Maybe it's just Australian kitsch. See https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/354700631928 (external link). Found in suburban houses of the 1940s/50s.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Not easy getting chiffchaffs in the air, as they are away up high in the treetops and so quick in coming off branches and going back on - and the fine branches are nearly always in the way for hitting focus. They occasionally hover for a few seconds when hawking insects, but so far I have not managed a good shot of a hover. I got a couple of usable frames at the weekend. Not a great angle, but beggars can't be choosers!

I like the wing-blur and think you've done well with these photos.

Yeh - I go with if I can get the eye and beak sharp, then the more wing blur the better! :p
