Thanks for your comments LD! Sometimes I'm tempted to explain how some shots were obtained but often I'm too embarrassed. My wife and I were sitting near the water at Fogg Dam and suddenly she yelled "Ibis". I whipped the camera around and blindly clicked two frames while mashing the eye-detect button, nearly hitting her in the head with the lens. This was one of the frames. Must be that awesome IBIS setting on the R7.:)

You've got me worried a bit, Pippan. Swinging that camera around as you mentioned, could possibly injure you or your wife:-P:lol:

What a beauty, Rob! I really like the background of blurred purple flowers. It adds a lot to the overall appeal of this shot.

If anyone reads this - I actually do photograph in the field almost everyday! I'm always will to help anyone who ventures to SW Florida.

Glossy Ibis - I've always been intrigued by this bird, often only getting a quick glimpse of the metallic coloring. The Glossy Ibis is a cosmopolitan species, also found in Europe, Asia, and Africa. In recent decades, its population in Spain has been increasing rapidly, probably helped by increased rice cultivation there. Photographed in SW Florida. April 26, 2023 Camera: Sony Alpha 1

Tri-colored Heron in Flight - while photographing the Glossy Ibis, out of the corner of my eye I see this Tri-colored sneaking in. Without removing my eye from the view finder, I quickly adjust my settings for a lighter colored bird. Three shots later I'm back shooting Ibis. Whats so great about Florida is you just never know what bird is going to fly by next. Image shot in SW Florida April 26, 2023 Camera: Sony Alpha 1.
