Such a beautiful shot of the yellow warbler. So timid and often hiding but you caught it in flight. Very nice, Jose.

I'm not posting this pic because I like it, I don't, it sucks. I'm posting it because of the object that's above its beak. It's driving me crazy guessing at what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas about it? I didn't notice it when I took the picture, only in post.

It's a clam shell. They drop them on a hard surface to break them open.

Really enjoy shots of ospreys on the hunt - they're like flying bear traps!

Thanks Bill. It's hit and miss with these guys. It's breeding season so there are a lot of territorial disputes between the males which brings them out of cover and out into the open and brings some opportunities to photograph them in the air.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure because its belly wasn’t pristine white as I have seen in others.

That's because it's a juvenile, lots of brown and that 'necklace' as well.

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

What a nice flight capture of the Red Bellied Woodpecker, Paul!

Great shot, Ed! I'm pretty sure there is an unlucky fish swimming just in front of the Osprey.:-)
